Indonesia 2012: an audience with the governor
JAKARTA – Signora Bedy Moratti, chief executive
Ernesto Paolillo and Esteban Cambiasso paid a visit to the governor
of Jakarta Fauzi Bowo this afternoon.
The governor received the Nerazzurri
delegation in the audience room, where the Inter directors thanked
the Indonesian people for the magnificent reception given to Inter.
Mr Bowo said he hoped it would be possible to set up an Inter
football school in Indonesia to help increase the technical and
tactical level of football in the country.
Before the meeting ended
with the ritual photo shoot and exchange of gifts, Cambiasso
not only spoke about the importance of improving Indonesian
football by increasing the technical level and facilitating the discovery of new talent, he also emphasised the social significance of sport in general and football in particular. By way of an example,
the midfielder pointed to last night's game at the Gelora Bung Karno
Stadium - a spectacle capable of bringing together very diverse
peoples and cultures.
Moratti: "Palacio, a good deal"
MILAN - As he left the Saras offices, president Massimo Moratti answered a few questions from journalists about Inter's transfer dealings over the summer.
Read what the president had to say here on inter.it:
Are you pleased with the Rodrigo Palacio signing? He's the sort of player that Inter need tactically speaking, isn't he?
"Definitely. I think we've done a good deal there. Now we'll see about what other moves to make, both coming in and going out."
Have there been any developments on the Lavezzi front?
"I don't know, I've been away recently so I don't know a lot. I'll find out in the next few days."
From what you do know, are the reported figures about the offers made by PSG and Inter right?
"I read about them in the papers. I think PSG have made an interesting offer. Now we'll see what we can do."
Will you have to increase your bid?
"That depends..." Indonesia 2012: training... in the water

The Nerazzurri were put through a series of aquatic exercises by fitness coach Stefano Rapetti. Indonesia 2012: Nerazzurri visit Inter Village
JAKARTA – Jonathan, Samuele Longo and Paolo Hernan Dellafiore
signed autographs and posed for pictures amidst a sea of fans this
afternoon during their visit to Inter Village, an area of almost
30,000 square metres set up outside the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and
devoted entirely to Nerazzurri colours.
Thousands of people flow through Inter Village every day. Besides
getting the chance to meet some of the players, fans can also visit
the Inter Museum, where the two trophies brought on tour with the
team – the 2010 Champions League and the 2010 Club World Cup –
are on display. There are lots of vintage shirts too, including one
of Giacinto Facchetti's from the 1973/74 season and the one worn by
Armando Picchi during the 1964 Intercontinental Cup final in Madrid, as well as other historical memorabilia like a 1930s football, a pair of boots
from the 1950s signed by Antonio Valentin Angelillo and a 1960s pennant.
In addition to the Champions League trophy itself, there's also another 'historical' item from that unforgettable night in Madrid in 2010: Esteban Cambiasso's jersey | | | | |
